Founder, Creative Director and Writer

The Dank Project was an independent editorial platform created to spotlight artists and creatives from regions often overlooked in global creative conversations — particularly Latin America, the Middle East, and neighboring cultural scenes.

The project began during the four years I lived in Turkey, where I became increasingly interested in the gap between the richness of local creative communities and their international visibility. Many artists, designers, performers, and makers were producing remarkable work that rarely reached audiences outside their immediate circles due to language barriers or limited media exposure.

Conceived as a digital web-zine, The Dank Project combined editorial storytelling, visual curation, and cultural documentation to introduce these creators to a broader audience. The platform featured interviews and profiles spanning multiple disciplines, including fashion, drag performance, skateboarding, food, visual arts, jewelry, and independent design.

I developed and managed the entire project independently — including creative direction, editorial strategy, writing, interviews, curation, website design, and social media.

Although the platform is currently offline, independent projects often move through different phases of reinvention. The Dank Project remains an important part of my creative practice and an extension of my interest in cultural storytelling, emerging creative communities, and regional identity.
